SOFTA-UPSI Knowledge Transferring Program

A collaborative effort between a group of lecturers from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and SOFTA to undertake a research to recycle waste from unwanted fish parts such as fish heads, fish maw and fish bones into something beneficiary.

The five-month research via knowledge transferring is led by Dr. Norjan Yusof, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azlan Kamari, Dr. Hanisom Abdullah, Dr. Syakirah Samsudin, Dr. Som Cit Si Nang, Norhidayah Mamat Noor (student) and Nik Muhamad Ikhwan Nik Li (student).

 

The research finally ended up in flying colours. The waste from unwanted fish parts is processed into fish food-pallet for fisheries and house-pet fish.

The research was presented to Her Highness Tuanku Zara Salim, Queen of Perak in University Research Carnival, UPSI on 5 March 2015.
